CELEBRATION OF WORLD HEART DAY WITH EXPERTS:

World Heart Day is celebrated every year on September 29th, spreading awareness about cardiovascular diseases and highlighting the measures taken to control CVD. Approximately one third of deaths around the world are the result of heart disease and stroke, making cardiovascular disease the number one killer globally. Many of these people have been exposed to unhealthy behaviours including tobacco use, unhealthy diet, inadequate physical activity and harmful use of alcohol etc .However, cardiovascular diseases are preventable. Many lives can be saved by regular check-ups for High blood pressure, High blood cholesterol, Diabetes and stroke.

28th September 2019, Nalanda International School celebrated WORLD HEART DAY by organizing an interactive session for the staff and students. All the specialists and super specialists Doctors from PGI khanpur and Gohana attended the function .Dr Uma Garg ,HOD ENT department Khanpur and Dr Sonika Lamba Medicine department of BPS Khanpur had an interactive session illustrating the cardiovascular diseases. The senior students of Nalanda presented an eye opening Nukkad natak on the topic of STRESS, OBESITY, UNHEALTHY FOOD HABITS, LUXURY LIFESTYLE etc. The program proved to be successful .All the Doctors and Principal of the school, Mr Malik praised the efforts of the children.
